Whether you want to journey into the world of Belly Dance as a beginner
or you want to focus attention and energy to improve technique...
Belly Dance Bootcamp: Back to Basics is designed for you!!

January Curriculum:
  • Learn and Drill Basic 12 Belly Dance moves (as taught by Karla Marie),
  • Learn Mahraganat (Egyptian Street Belly Dance/Electro shaabi) movements
  • Explore Oriental Belly Dance arm poses and posture, 
  • and dive into Basic Fusion with western belly dance adaptations,
During these sessions, you will create a range from Traditional Egyptian Belly Dance to Modern Belly Dance (from Cairo to California) all the while, connecting to the root and origin and learning about the history and culture behind every move!

this bootcamp will prepare you from hip shimmies to undulating arms.
Awaken the Goddess and get your belly dance tool box ready for some shakin in the streets!

Come parade with us!!!! You have two options when parading with us...  1. Join as an official  Shimmy Shakti Goddess Krewe Member (march/dance). Shimmy Shakti Goddesses are belly dancing members of our krewe.   Studio class attendance required You will learn belly dance basics and combos for the parades Park marching practice required Isis Wings Required for Mardi Gras Parade Full class schedule below Guest/Visiting Belly Dancers/Troupes can join as Habibis!
