MORNING IMMERSION WORKSHOP
9:00am-12:30pm

• Movement Focus: Arms, Hands, and Posture
• Expression Focus: Connection, and Presentation
• Centering on Technique & History
• Choreography: We will learn the new 2017 Shimmy Shakti Oriental Drum Solo choreography, with strong folkloric elements

LUNCH OFF SITE (12:45pm-1:45pm)
Lunch will be at Mint (Freret St) 1.4 miles for the studio
(Prices range from $7-10 per entree)

We will close our retreat day at a beautiful yoga studio space on Magazine, just a 5 minute ride from our lunch location. If you need a ride from our morning session to lunch and studio, there will be several of us with cars that can help. Just give me a heads up so we can plan

CHOREOGRAPHY & ENERGY CLEARING and HEALING
2:00pm-3:45pm (Live Oak Yoga, 6113 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70118)

We will have time to talk more in depth about the choreography we learned and discuss important pieces and elements to bring it to life. We will run through the choreography and then close our beautiful day with an Energy Clearing and Healing session.

About Energy Clearing and Healing:
In the fall, it’s natural to think about what’s transpired in the beginning months and prepare to welcome positive new energy to support your intentions in the months ahead.
I believe it is most important to bring awareness to what energy belongs to us and to allow this to flow within and be protected, while releasing all the energy that does not belong to us, releasing all those things that do not nourish us with forgiveness and compassion.
This time will be dedicated to clearing our energy centers, the most important space in our life, to create our “ultimate sanctuary” within ourselves, activating positive intentions, opening our energy centers and sealing our energy for protection.
We will do this through the powerful healing available through dance and movement. We will start with dancing, connecting to our body, and move through our energy centers, ending in a restorative therapeutic session.

Yoga Mat
Water Bottle
2 pillows (or Bolster)
Fleece or throw- tends to get chilly during energy healing
