What to expect? How to prepare? What to bring on January 22?

When you arrive, you won't need your items for the energy clearing/meditation. If possible please leave these items stored in your car until after our lunch break.

  • 10:30am-12:30pm Morning Session
    • STUDIO 1 (2ND FLOOR) Please report to 2nd floor of the studio, we will start the retreat in Studio 1 (for the morning session). This studio has the best mirrors and will work great for the technique portion of our retreat.
    • 10:30am-12pm: Belly Dance Essentials
    • 12pm-12:30pm: Lunch- We will have a short lunch break. I recommend packing a light lunch to bring and any snacks you may want. There won't be much time so to leave for lunch- but if necessary, Fresh Market is right across St. Charles. 
  • 12:30pm-3:30pm Afternoon Session (Darbuka Explosion | Closing Meditation)
    • STUDIO 4 (DOWNSTAIRS) We will hold the afternoon session downstairs in the large studio space. 
      • After lunch, we will move down to Studio 4. At that time, you can bring your items for the energy clearing/meditation portion (Recommended items to bring: blanket/fleece, 2 pillows or a bolster and pillow, yoga mat or bath towel, socks, sweater, eye mask, anything that will help support your physically during this portion of the retreat). Feel free to bring crystals, cards, or stones to work with.
      • There is plenty of room in Studio 4 and your items can be placed around the space until we are ready to use them.
