Shimmy Shakti: Diwali Performance

Checklist for Diwali:

• Stage Make Up (accentuate eyeliner, wear eye shadow, blush, and dark lipstick- fake lashes are strongly encouraged!!!!) avoid lip gloss- hair gets stuck on it 
• Drape yourself in jewelry!!!! If you think it's too much, it's not. Long dangly earrings, necklace, bracelets, rings!!! 
• Bindis Encouraged
• Hair down, the fuller the better 
• Paint your nails dark color, helps accentuate hand movements 
• Wear veil or pashmina as wrap over slit weave (tuck into your shoulder strap) before we perform. You don't have to wear after. (I have some if anyone needs to borrow one -see below for a couple of examples)
• Wear sandals- no heel- with back strap- just in case we perform on the dance floor and need to wear shoes
